Widening the Circle: Exploring Theologies from the Margins (3 Units, Elective) – English
In a racially and culturally plural society, our diversity creates a wide circle of theological voices with distinct perspectives. This course will explore the significance of that diversity for ministry today and offer an opportunity to listen to the voices of theologians who engage in the task of discerning new meanings for Christian faith through the lens of their particular social location and historical context. |

Narrative Reading and Preaching (3 units, Elective) – Korean Language
강의소개: 이 강의에서는 성경을 이야기식으로 해석하여 읽는 방법을 공부하며 이야기식 설교를 위한 기본 원리와 실제를 배우게 됩니다. 설교를 준비하여 실습해 보는 시간도 주어지게 됩니다.
This course introduces students to the art of reading the Bible as a narrative text. Students will gain an understanding of the principles and skills for narrative preaching and have opportunities to write and deliver sermons. This is a 3-unit course for seminary students ($1238 Tuition). Auditors and Pastors who wish to enroll in this course to receive credit for continuing education are required only the first week (Monday, Jan 4 – Thursday, Jan 7; Saturday, Jan 9).
Tuition for Auditors and Pastors for one-week participation is $175; two-week participation is $350.

The Holy Spirit and Spirituality (1.5 Units, Elective) – English
This course will be a combination of theology and spirituality. There will be first-person writing and reflection. Students will` be asked to read and review one theological work on pneumatology before the class begins. |
