Student Information

Welcome to the learning community of the Southern California campus of San Francisco Theological Seminary. We are a community enriched by students from diverse professional and educational backgrounds, cultural heritages, faith journeys and ministerial experiences. We are connected by a shared course of discerning and preparing for our unique calls to ministry. As director of student formation, I am here to be present as a conversational partner on this course and to support you with prayer, especially when you face challenges along the way. Additionally, I am here to guide you through important parts of your formation beyond the classroom:  ordination processes, internships, and needs for counseling and spiritual direction.

Worship with us in chapel once a month on Saturdays and share life together with colleagues, faculty, and friends of the Seminary at community lunches before chapel. I hope you will quickly find yourself in the company of a caring community as you embark on your course of theological education at SFTS.
