San Francisco Theological Seminary's on-campus housing complements all experiences, including weddings, receptions, conferences and sabbaticals. Just a short stroll from the quaint downtown area of San Anselmo, the town has literally grown up around the Seminary, emerging as an antique capital with cafes, restaurants, galleries, shops and even a small winery. The Seminary also boasts close proximity to one of Northern California's most popular biking corridors, making San Anselmo and neighboring towns very friendly to those traveling on two wheels. With unobstructed views of majestic Mt. Tamalpais from campus, SFTS visitors can find solace and inspiration in surrounding parklands, whether mountain biking or hiking on an expansive trails system. As for culture, San Francisco is only a 30-minute drive from campus, providing our guests with an incredibly rich home away from home for all events.

Built in the late 1800s, this beautifully refurbished two-story Victorian home originally served as SFTS faculty housing. Today it boasts five spacious bedrooms, a formal living room with fireplace, formal dining room, den, and three full baths. The huge sweeping front porch and gourmet kitchen make this the perfect venue for a variety of gatherings such as wedding rehearsal dinners, intimate receptions, bridal party housing, out-of-town guests and overflow family lodging, or a romantic getaway.
Additionally, the antiques in the Shaw Guest House have been passed down over the decades by students, faculty, and residents and are considered priceless. It is often joked that many of the wives of SFTS presidents and others associated with the Seminary have become quite protective of the accumulated pieces. Additional deposit is required to protect the collectables.
