For time and space set aside for renewal and refreshment? Or perhaps you’re searching for just the right place for you and your spouse to retreat for a long-awaited Sabbatical? Whether it’s for a week or several months, you’ll find a welcoming, hospitable place for personal retreat or sabbatical at SFTS. Located just 15 minutes north of San Francisco in the quiet hills of Marin County, SFTS offers a beautiful setting for reflection, renewal, study and rest. Our Pastoral Renewal program provides you the flexibility to design your own retreat. The staff of the Program in Christian Spirituality is available to help you put together a retreat and Sabbath time that will be meaningful for you, which can include:

A home for your Sabbath & Retreat Comfortable, furnished campus apartments are available for short- or long-term rentals, starting at $490 per week or $1,600 per month. Dorm-style housing is also available for groups at $60-70 per night. Spouses and groups are welcome for renewal and retreat opportunities. The seminary is accessible by public transportation, with nearby ferry and bus access to San Francisco. Grocery stores, restaurants, and other amenities are located within a mile of campus, in easy walking distance.

Thank you.” -- Joyce Irwin, Church Musician, Syracuse, NY Clergy Renewal Grants In the National Clergy Renewal Program, the Lilly Endowment annually provides as many as 120 grants of up to $45,000 each directly to Christian congregations for the support of a renewal program for their pastor. The master of divinity degree is the basic minimum educational requirement to apply for a grant. Deadlines for proposals are generally in May, with announcements of recipients generally made by October.
