Modern Bridal--Weddings, San Francisco Theological Seminary takes great pride in providing an extraordinary nuptial experience designed to create special memories to last a lifetime. There are several wedding and reception venues from which to choose. We also provide an event host, who will be on site on your wedding day. We will also supply you with a "Preferred Vendors List" of local caterers, florists, photographers and DJs to help you make decisions that suit your needs and budget beyond our venue. Other bonuses include plenty of free parking, on-site housing and wheel-chair accessibility. Below are a variety of options to consider on your most celebrated day.
Montgomery Chapel has served many purposes since it was built in 1897, including a house of worship for several denominations including Presbyterian, Greek Orthodox and Judaism. Currently, it serves as a concert venue, lecture hall, and bar and bat mitzvah ceremony site. However, it is best known as an intimate, jewel-box setting for both religious and secular weddings, its massive double-doors inviting happiness for couples making lifetime commitments.
The stone chapel is graced with beautiful stained-glass windows and carvings depicting scenes from the Hebrew Scriptures. It can accommodate up to 90 guests in its unique rotunda structure. With its high-domed ceiling and intimate size, the chapel offers excellent acoustics and does not require any additional sound. Musical performances are fantastic in this venue and many artists covet this location for concerts.
Every bride dreams of getting ready for her wedding in a beautiful room surrounded by her family and closest friends. Montague Hall is just that. Adjacent to Montgomery Chapel, Montague Hall features an oversized hearth and beautiful stained glass windows to allow in the natural light. There is also a small kitchenette conducive to serving refreshments for smaller groups. The groom and groomsmen can enjoy the garden in the beautiful breezeway while the bride ready's for the ceremony.

Designed after the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, Italy, Stewart Chapel is nestled in the hills of San Anselmo overlooking Ross Valley and Mt. Tamalpais in the distance. Located at the top of a long staircase, Stewart Chapel awaits to welcome your family and friends into its cool nave. Atop the chapel building is a bell tower framed by clear blue sky and hills decorated in evergreen trees. The chimes from the bell tower can be heard for miles, seeming to celebrate with you on your special day.
As one enters the chapel, a long, red carpet stretches from the vestibule to the first row of pews, creating a rich walkway for you and your wedding party. Warm, white walls and a vaulted ceiling coffered of dark wood add to the grace and beauty of the chapel. The glow and warmth of natural light shining through brilliant stained glass windows create an elegant atmosphere perfect for a wedding. Additionally, the acoustics are superb and the chapel features both a Steinway piano and pipe organ. A sound system is available for larger weddings.
The chapel also offers separate rooms for bride and groom to get ready before their walk down the aisle. Geneva Terrace, just outside the chapel doors, is an incredibly picturesque place for wedding photos and your reception.
