SFTS History at a glance:
Founded 1871 in San Francisco
Moved to 14-acre hilltop site in San Anselmo in 1890
Became founding member of the Graduate Theological Union in 1962, a consortium of 9 seminaries housed on the Berkeley campus
Opened a second SFTS campus in Pasadena in 1990. Southern California campus closed on June 30, 2011. Teach-out plan under way.
