Founded 1907, progressive, social justice, intellectual in orientation and faith. A founding member of the Sanctuary Movement, More Light. Partnering with Quiche refugees here to support clinic in Guatemala. Gorgeous sanctuary, strong classical music component. Aging congregation, we have had trouble retaining younger folks in this mobile, transient community. Plenty of visitors. Generally healthy congregation without in-fighting or nastiness. Large facility and big staff for support of a wide variety of building use; great for learning administration. The small congregation with large facility, staff and use gives experience helpful for both large and small congregations. We have had great success with previous interns. |

Position Description |

The intern would have an opportunity to serve in all aspects of church life: worship leadership, preaching, pastoral care, education, youth, mission and justice and admin. We can work with intern to tailor to their needs. We assume this is part time position but could easily fill more. |
