Lenten Devotions: Turning Toward Freedom

lentdevotionswebsite

The San Francisco Theological Seminary community invites you to join us in reflection and prayer through Daily Devotions for Lent from February 10 to March 26, 2016. Devotions are written by SFTS students, alumni, faculty, staff and trustees, and collectively serve as our gift to the SFTS community, our family and friends, and the larger church. Many people find that devotions are a great way to begin each day during the Lent season. It’s also a special way to connect with SFTS.

We are opening conversation in our daily devotions around the theme Turning Toward FreedomLent invites us to turn from all the things that do us and the world harm. At the same time, Lent invites us to turn toward freedom – freedom from oppression, freedom from sin, freedom from exile.

Experience our Daily Devotions for Lent through emails sent directly to your inbox, or by joining us on Facebook or Twitter. We encourage you to set aside a regular time of day to pause and reflect on the season of Lent.
