Doctor of Ministry
The Pastor as Spiritual Leader Emphasis Admissions
The requirements for admission to the Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in The Pastor as Spiritual Leader include the following:
- ATS-approved Master of Divinity degree (or its equivalent) with a 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale (B or 80);
- Three years or more of pastoral leadership in a ministry setting;
- Four letters of reference: 1) academic, 2) ecclesiastical, 3) spiritual director or mentor, and 4) friend or colleague;
- Personal essay;
- Commitment to be in spiritual direction (individual or group) during the course of the D.Min./PSL.
Additional documents may be required of international applicants. If English is not the applicant’s primary language for conversation and reading, the applicant will be required to submit TOEFL results. (A TOEFL score of 213 or higher is required for admission to the seminary.)
The D.Min./PSL is limited to 12 participants
The deadline for filing applications for the 2010 program has now closed. The next application period will be announced on this web site in advance of the next program term. Tuition and Other Costs
The total tuition for the D.Min./PSL program is $13,670.00, based on the following:

Application Fee: $40
Other costs include room and board for the educational experiences. The following are estimates of those costs, based on current-year rates:
January Room & Board: $1175 (x2 = $2,350)
Summer Room & Board: $2,300
